About Zenobia
For many years, Zenobia has been a fixture on the Danish music scene, offering captivating and atmospheric interpretations of the Danish song tradition. While rooted in traditional Danish ballads and hymns, the musicians make the music their own by contributing original songs and compositions alongside fresh takes on familiar classics.
New Line-up
As of September 2026, Zenobia has a new line-up. After nearly 20 years of successful collaboration, Mette Kathrine Jensen Stærk has left the group to pursue her own path. Zenobia continues as a duo featuring Louise Støjberg (vocals and guitar) and Charlotte Støjberg (piano and accordion), joined by various guest musicians.
In the autumn of 2026, the group is joined by violinist and folk musician Kirstine Sand, who brings both her beautiful, spirited violin playing and her own compositions to the mix.
ZENOBIA CONCERT
A Zenobia concert features the group’s own songs alongside well-known seasonal songs and other hits from the Danish songbook. Folk music is always represented by two or three tracks—either new compositions by guest musicians or traditional melodies. Audience sing-alongs are also part of the program, provided that songbooks, hymnbooks, or lyric sheets are available.
